2011 Subaru WRX STI Saloon

Subaru car maker has unveiled new series model Subaru WRX STI now a saloon boat (the hatchback body style is still present), while the Impreza badge is not in sight. The new 2011 Subaru WRX STI Saloon come a a new grille, bumpers, standard fog lamps and bold, but it is around the back that the changes are most obvious.
The saloon shape gives the WRX STI a more pleasing presence. It’s better still with the optional rear wing. It’s a muscular looking car, with pace to back it up. On the interior Subaru WRX STI there are some new plastics, but despite talk of a more upmarket look and feel the interior still fails to impress against European rivals.
Subaru Boxer Sports Car Architecture world premiere in 2011 Geneva Motor Show
While the Toyota FT-86 II Concept car is on display at the Toyota stand in Geneva, the platform the car is built upon is featured at the Subaru stand. The Subaru BOXER Sports Car Architecture, along with the rear-wheel drive concept vehicle, were jointly designed by both automakers.
While the vehicle’s exterior design is 100% Toyota, the underpinnings are pretty much entirely Subaru, right down to the 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated horizontally-opposed Boxer engine mounted near the front. The fact that the engine sends power to the rear wheels, instead of all four, clearly comes from the Toyota side of the table.

LA 2010: Subaru Impreza Concept caught in living color
One of the biggest surprises (so far…) of the 2010 LA Auto Show has to be the Subaru Impreza Design Concept that snuck up on us just a few hours ago. Some thought it might be the long-awaited Subota coupe (a close cousin of the Toyobaru, of course), but in reality what we have here is a conceptual sedan that the Japanese automaker claims will heavily influence future models… namely the Impreza, we’d wager.
Yes, there’s a working 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine bolted to a CVT gearbox behind that shapely new front grille and its massive side vents, but it’s the styling we’re really intrigued by. To that end, be sure to take a good, hard look at the live shots in our high-res gallery below.
