BMW Coupe with a sunroof; how long does it take and how much is it to replace the Headliner?
- Do you mean complete or just the fabric?
I’d shop around, visit the shops and look at the workmanship.
As for doing it yourself…….
If you’re considering removing / replacing the fabric only, stay well away unless you’re used to fitting carpet upside down.
Even the “right way up” it’s difficult to the unskilled – I did a SAAB 900 once – required enormous patience.
And I’m lucky – a friend supplied the fabric – it doesn’t come cheap.
- Replacing a headliner on a six Series is an all day job, but it should be done by 2 people in order to make the best and neatest installation. Depending on labor cost per hour and material cost ($150 est.) I would guess you are looking at a minimum of $500.
- It should cost about 150 at the least, and they,ll need it for a good day ,cleaning the old headliner off takes a little while ,but these ones are a little hard to do because of the sunroof, the price of this can go all the way up to about 200 bucks depending on if they have to take the sunroof down on it or not, good luck i hope this helps.
